The Owner: Bud Yerly saw the movie Spirit of St. Louis as a 5 year old. From that time on he wanted to be and aeronautical engineer and pilot so as to build his own aircraft. He earned his bachelors degree in Aeronautical engineering, and his masters in business finance. He went on to a career as a USAF fighter pilot, instructor, evaluator, IG, trained accident investigator, aeronautical engineer and has years of professional functional test flying experience accumulating 4000 hours of fighter/trainer time. After retirement from the military, he finally had time to build his own aircraft which he designed. However after flying the Europa he knew this was the aircraft he wanted. He currently owns and operates Custom Flight Creations, Inc. where over the last 19 years he has assisted in the completion of 15 experimental kit aircraft, rebuilt 16 more, and personally owns a 914-equipped Europa Kit Aircraft with 500 hours on it. He was the US Europa Dealer for many years as well as a technical advisor for the factory. He is currently still a US dealer for Airmaster Propellers and other aviation vendors. He is active in the EAA as an EAA Technical Counsellor. In his spare time, he active in and on the Board of Directors of EAA Chapter 175 in Tampa FL. He is an annual vender at as well as a volunteer at Sun ‘n Fun in Lakeland, Florida. He has assisted in the building and test flying of many experimental aircraft powered by many different engine types. He has time and experience in all variants of the Europa aircraft and many other kit.

Our Company: We are a registered Florida Corporation doing business in the Seffner-Valrico communities just East of Tampa Florida. Our shop includes nearly 6000 square feet of space and 2000 square feet of air conditioned and heated assembly area. We can cater to most of your kit-building needs. We are located 20 minutes from Lakeland’s Sun ‘n Fun Fly-In and ten minutes from Tamp Executive and Plant City airports. Our flying aircraft are in the main hangar at Plant City Airport.
