This page contains information related to Custom Flight, Europa kit builders and Airmaster Propellers.
May-October of 2021 Custom Flight Creations assisted EAA Chapter 175 with N952JL. The aircraft is a Jabiru powered Europa Monowheel. This low time aircraft had many landings on its gear and we did a complete nose to tail upgrade replacing bearings, rubber, wheels, and completely rigging the aircraft. We’re very proud of the aircraft. We’re actively looking for a good home for it.
Update: Chapter 175 sold N952JL to a new proud owner.
Jan 2024. Bud is retiring from Sun ‘n Fun displays. I’m just getting old but not worthless. I still sell and troubleshoot for Airmaster Propellers and am a source of all things Europa.
June 2024: N12AY is back in the air: After being slightly skinned up and superficially damaged at Sun ‘n Fun 2022 I decided to do a complete inspection and some further updates. I finally got off the pot and put her back together, touched up the paint and added a few nice touches. I’ll present them to the membership of the Europa Club later in the year. Updated include:
A digital fuel gauge for any 5 volt sender which displays the fuel quantity remaining in gallons. It uses an Arduino for the CPU and an OLED display with dimming capability. The fuel sender chosen was an RED and Princeton fuel probe unit. This should also work with Skyfix and the Europa fuel sender as all these are similar in their 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 and full calibration setups.
A 914 fuel pump system for quick and easy service and repair complete with quick disconnects. This should be a mod for any 914 owner.
A 914 TCU and servo move to the passenger footwell. It protects the servo/TCU and provides cooling to both. In testing it kept the TCU temperature at or below 100F on a 110 degree F ramp day and all through a full climb to 10,000 feet, then a landing and taxi back for 20 minutes on the ground before shutdown. It works as far as I’m concerned but those in the UK may not be able to do this modification.
