Listed below are some really inexpensive and easy upgrades for those who need more than the kit manufacturer provides:
A Heater For Both The XS and Classic Europa that takes the chill off at altitude:
For those of you who are high altitude cruisers or northern latitude winter fliers here is a proven heater for the Europa XS and one for the Classic also.

Alternate Mod 66 door strut re-positioning:
Tired of the back of the door deflecting up because of gas spring pressure. The Europa Mod 66 was intended to do that, but is thick, harder to close and is expensive. What we created was a light weight, simple and cost effective change to your door strut attachment. It can be done in a weekend.

Landing / Recognition light for the Europa XS:
If you want a recognition or landing light to be easily seen and instructions on how to do it click the links below and see what we have done.

Auxiliary Alternator:
There are a few particularly irritating problems with today’s sport aircraft using the Jabiru, Rotax or other small engines. That is insufficient electrical power. Of course we are amp zealots using LED and solid state technology to the max but should you have need of a second alternator, try using our dual alternator wiring setup. It works well

A fuel sight gauge that works:
Another item that is a miserable item is the sight gauge. For years I have been throwing out capacitance electrical fuel gauges that just stop working or only work at one quantity EMPTY. They are constantly going out of calibration. For the best electrical gauge use the Europa Aircraft float gauge (very well calibrated float resistance gauge) which reads Full, 3/4. 1/2, 1/4, and Empty. However, I find a properly installed sight gauge that really works is quite necessary in refueling and determining my invisible fuel tanks fuel level. See the article on how I do it and use it trouble free.

First Flight Prep Considerations:
We are obsessed with safety. The greatest concern for most is with the first flight. I have had nothing but uneventful first flights on 15 out of 16 aircraft. (On one plane, when I pull the carb heat, the engine would die in flight, but not on the ground!) Of course we make sure our aircraft have been thoroughly tuned, properly rigged and all instruments and indicators working perfectly before flight, but what about the process of getting there. See the attached documents on how we prep for first flight and test the function of our new birds.

Some other ideas you may want to consider in your construction:
Quick Air Brake Cover for a motor glider or similar use for an autopilot arm cover where the servo is mounted under the seat and connects to the stick.
